Lake of Lights 2007
FORT Cancer Charity this year are once again proud to be holding their annual Lake of Lights event at Canoe Lake, Southsea on December 21 from 17:00 until 20:00.
After last years tremendous success FORT are planning on making this years event even larger in the hopes that even more members of the community will be able to come down to enjoy the tranquil setting and welcoming atmosphere.
Last year 2500 people came down to witness the first Lake of Lights and all left satisfied and touched by the reflective atmosphere that the event had throughout the evening.
This year the event will have light sticks and memory cards available before the event through the FORT offices as well as on the night. Once again there is no price for either instead asking for a donation as once again we cannot put a price on a memory.
Fort's Project Coordinator Stuart McGregor says of the event "After last years huge success we are planning on making this years event even bigger. So many people came to us after last years event with different ideas that we have tried to add a few new touches which hopefully will please everybody. This year with all the added interest we are going to try and put anywhere up to 6000 lights on the lake, we are really hoping for a spectacular image".
